5th Ágens International Photo Competition (Fiap 2010/153) Results download 

Conditions of participation: this is an open competition, anyone can participate, irrespective of profession, age or place of residence. Each author can submit 4 paper photos per category. The maximum size of the photos shall be 30x40 cm. The photos should be submitted without frame and passepartout, as we shall be in charge of the final identical presentation format. Serial photos shall not be accepted. The author's name, postal address, the title of the photo in Hungarian and English languages, as well as the series no. of the photo should be clearly indicated on the verso of each photo. The photos can be made by traditional or digital process alike, but the final photo shall only be accepted by the organizers on light sensitive photo paper support. Photos not respecting the indicated size and technology shall be refused by the organizers and they shall not be returned, non-acceptance of the conditions of participation shall by itself exclude candidates from participating in the competition, and no photos shall be returned.

1. General category 2. Experimental category 3. Archaic category
1. General category. Photos created by analogue or digital technology, coloured or black and white photos with minimal digital adjustment (the adjustment of levels, curves, color balance, hue/saturation, brightness/ contrast is allowed, but their general effect must not depart from reality). The change of cropping and the retouching of technical flaws, such as scratch, dust or chemical stains are allowed. However, the theme and the individual details of the image must not be changed. 2. Experimental category. Photos created by graphic applications, by photomontage or other subsequent adjustment. 3. Archaic category. Photographies created by historical photographic processes (such as cyanotype, albumin photography, argentotype, bromoil printing, etc.)

2200 HUF in one category, or 12 euros in Europe, 18 USD outside Europe 3300 HUF in two categories, or 18 euros in Europe, 27 USD outside Europe 4400 HUF in three categories, or 24 euros in Europe, 36 USD outside Europe

Payment of the participation fee by check shall not be accepted. The photos of any author, not paying a participation fee, shall still be receivable by the organizer and can participate in the competition, but after the exhibition these photos shall become the property of the Ágens Photo Gallery, and could be sold freely by indicating the name of the author.

November 30, 2010. final deadline for receiving the photos and for settling the participation fee December 11-12, 2010. evaluation by the jury December 23, 2010. information of the authors whose art works shall be exhibited January 15, 2011., at 11h am. opening of the exhibition March 15, 2011. returning the photos

The photos that shall receive an award at the exhibition shall become the property of the organizer. The organizer of the event shall take utmost care of the submitted material, but it waives any liability for eventual damages and failings. All authors who payed the enrty fee shall receive a catalogue made of the exhibited art works. In order to make adequate publicity for the exhibition the author may use the photos freely, without the application of author's rights (CD, media, TV). By submitting the photos the authors take knowledge of the conditions of participation.
